About
About Hoarder Help Fund
A support and funding route for people affected by hoarding, where cost stands in the way of practical help.
Why we exist
Why Hoarder Help Fund exists
When hoarding has made a home unsafe or difficult to manage, the practical help needed can be costly. It takes time, care and experienced people, and many of those who need it most simply can’t afford it. Some end up living with real risks because there’s no realistic way forward.
Hoarder Help Fund exists to help change that: to help people affected by hoarding get practical support when cost is the barrier.
Our purpose
What the fund does
- Identifies people affected by hoarding who may need practical help.
- Assesses whether they may qualify for financial support.
- Allocates or secures funding for approved cases.
- Works with family members, professionals, charities and referral partners.
- Arranges appropriate practical support through experienced delivery partners.
- Recycles an agreed share of income from reusable items into future support.
The fund and its partners
A funding route, not a clearance company
Hoarder Help Fund isn’t a clearance contractor. Practical work on approved cases is carried out by suitable experienced clearance partners. Keeping these roles distinct means decisions about support are made separately from the practical work itself.
We’ll be open about who our delivery partners are and how they’re involved as arrangements are confirmed.
Working together
Who we work with
The fund works alongside:
- Charities
- Grant funders
- Referral organisations
- Councils and housing providers
- Health and community teams
- Experienced delivery partners

Governance and funding arrangements
Hoarder Help Fund is at an early stage. Its governance, charity partnerships and funding arrangements are being structured openly and with care.
Further details about our partners, governance and safeguarding arrangements will be published as these are formally confirmed.
If your organisation would like to be part of that, see support the fund.
